Let's Rodeo, San Antonio! It's that time of year again. Each year this city is host to the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. From January 31st to February 17th 2008, the SAn Antonio Spurs vacate their home, and go "on the road" while the venue hosts one of the largest Rodeos in the USA.

Commercial Exhibits Fun Facts
Commercial Exhibits and Family Fair use over 10,000 linear feet of decorative drape each year.
The carnival used over 2 miles of electric cable wire to power the carnival in 2004.
If you count all over-the-road vehicles, including the trailers to house the carnival staff, and line the vehicles up end to end, the distance would be 1.5 miles of vehicles brought to San Antonio to produce the 2004 carnival.
The most popular ride in 2005 was the Megadrop.

Final attendance for the 58th Annual San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo numbered 1,204,417.

Our Livestock Show had an outstanding year with 22,025 total entries. In addition there were close to 12,000 junior show participants representing 958 4-H Clubs and FFA Chapters. We hosted 770 Open Show exhibitors from 12 states.
The 2005 Horse Shows had a successful year. The Barrel Futurity and Derby are rated in the Top Ten Barrel Futurity & Derby Events nationwide. The Select Sale was a huge success with the top selling horse for $28,000.00.
The 2007 Junior Livestock Auction recorded,$3,610,612.
Over a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships were awarded in the Junior Breeding Shows, Junior Market Goat Show, Quality Product Contests, Judging Contests and the Texas Youth Horse Shows.
The Western Art Auction produced $126,125 which was awarded to 25 students, most of whom are from Bexar County.
