What's my favorite thing abour San Antonio? It might be the people. Texans are warm, friendly, outgoing folks. It might be the rich cultural diversity. It might be the cuisine. I love the South American influences that we find in many of our finer restaurants, not to mention Texas style barbeque. All these are great reasons to love San Antonio, but no, my favorite thing is that I can wake up at 5:00 am, be at the airport in under fifteen minutes, and be diving in Cozumel before one on a nonstop flight. Understand where I'm coming from: I grew up in New England "on the water", lived in the Carribean "on the water" running a charter yacht, and lived in Miami "on the water" in Dinner Key Marina on a sailboat. In landlocked San Antonio, I'm over two hours drive away from being anywhere near being "on the water".

BARRACUDA

In Cozumel, we always stay at the same small intimate hotel called Village Tan Kah. It's owned by Robert and Roberta Cwierta, who also operate a full service dive operation at the same location. We love it there! They offer a clean, no frills guest room, two dives a day on fast six passenger boats (with the option for more, plus unlimited free shore diving), breakfast each morning, and easy access to San Miguel with it's excellent local restaurants at an unbelivably low price for a week's stay. To find out more click HERE Cozumel has some of the best diving in the world - excellent visibility - warm water - and year round tropical weather.
