Today, I'd like to tell you about my favorite book store in San Antonio. I'm a voracious reader, and frankly, while I enjoy the selection and ambience of the palaces catering to the bibliophile such as Borders Books and Music. I can't afford their prices. Some weeks ago, I was very remiss in my planning, and was looking at a weekend with no reading material. I went to Borders and dropped $16.95 on a PAPERBACK! Never again!

There is an excellent alternative. There are lots of "Half Price" and "discount" book stores scattered around San Antonio, but I just love The Great Exchange book store at 8492 Fredericksburg Rd. Their staff is very helpful, and knows their stock inside and out. I can rent a brand new best seller for just $4.33 for a week, or purchase a used paperback (usually for under $3.00).

10:00 am to 5:00pm Saturday
Closed Sundays
