Let's take another day trip to the "heart of the Texas Hill Country". It's not just a Texas town, it's THE TEXAS TOWN! Luckenbach, Texas is an historically rich and continually vibrant town. It is about fifty miles north of San Antonio. A multitude of festivals are held there including Willie Nelson's Fourth of July Picnic, an all day concert/party.

Willie, along with Waylon Jennings, immortalized the town of Luckenbach in their now famous song.

If you're visiting Texas then Luckenbach is a must. Fortunately there's almost always a party going on so when you go through town there should be something to do. You can check out the historic General Store and Post Office, the Blacksmith shop, numerous shops and bars or just take in the town's atmosphere. However, when you do enter the town you won't be able to tell by looking at a city limits sign. The city no longer puts them up since so many people have stolen them and so many had to be replaced.
