With the "Border Fence" and illegal immigration assuming such prominence in our news lately, I thought I'd take a brief look at the process of being allowed to work legally in the United States if you are a foreign national. The first step is obtaining a "Green Card". At first glance, looking at the requirements makes it seem to be a straightforward process. However, "the devil's in the details", and I don't see how anyone can do it without professional help, or resign oneself to wading thru an interminable morass of bureaucratic rules and regulations.

There are several ways to apply for a Green Card, including:
- Green Card through Marriage
- Green Card through Relatives
- Green Card through Employment
- Green Card through Investment
- Green Card Lottery
